This policy explains what Custom Rings processes, why it is processed, when information leaves your device, and the choices available to you.
Your complete ring collection is stored locally on your devices. This includes:
This local information is shared between the Custom Rings iPhone app, Apple Watch app, and widgets using Apple's App Groups and Watch connectivity features. Local information remains until you remove it or uninstall the app.
Social features are optional and require Sign in with Apple. When you use them, Custom Rings and its service provider, Supabase, process:
This information is used only to provide authentication, sharing, friends, challenges, activity feeds, account management, and notifications. It is associated with your Custom Rings account so these features can work.
If you create an Auto-Track ring, Custom Rings requests read-only access to the Apple Health category you select, such as steps, active calories, exercise minutes, stand hours, distance, flights climbed, sleep, water, or time in daylight.
You can revoke Health access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Custom Rings.
Information may be processed in the United States. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Custom Rings offers a one-time Pro upgrade through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information.
Custom Rings does not contain advertising SDKs, does not sell personal information, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Apple may provide aggregate App Store analytics and opt-in crash diagnostics to the developer.
Custom Rings may also send a small set of first-party product events to Supabase so we can understand whether features such as onboarding, sharing, purchases, and Watch or widget setup are working. These events use a randomly generated installation identifier and include the app version, build number, event name, and limited non-content properties such as whether a created ring was manual or auto-tracked.
Server-side account and social information is retained while your account is active or as needed to operate and secure the service. You may request permanent account deletion using the contact address below. Account deletion removes your Custom Rings profile, friendships, shared ring progress, challenges, activity events, and notification tokens from the service. Local ring data on your device is not removed by account deletion.
We use platform authentication, access-control policies, encrypted network connections, and service-provider security controls intended to protect server-side information. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure.
Custom Rings is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided account information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
